Golf Courses

We've appraised a number of golf courses - the best known is Olympia Fields Country Club, home of the 2003 US Open. It is a 27-hole course.

Another country club I had the opportuntiy to appraise has two holes worth mentioning. The first hole is shown (below) only because of its name - Eleanor's Teeth. Apparently the members of the club did not like Eleanor Roosevelt.

The second hole is a very typical short hole - about 100 yards. I mention it because a friend of mine said it was a very dificult hole to cheat on - apparently since it was so short, the other players could keep track of his strokes.

NOTE : If you are thinking of ordering an appraisal for financing purposes, please consult with your lender first.  Federal law dictates that banks must order the appraisal - not the borrower.
